What I liked
The love the cast has for the movie, the interactivity, the fun and goofy time that was had by all.
What I didn't like
I wish there was only one river and only one sea, but I understand time is an issue
My overall impression
One of the greatest parody films of all time gets transformed into a Rocky Horror-esque type of fun stage show. Most of the classic scenes and lines are there and you are encouraged to shout out the lines you know and love (along with lines from other movies you might know). They also added updated scenarios which definitely worked for the show. While the updates are not part of the original film, they are done with the same style and love of the originals.
You can tell this was made and performed with such a fondness for the movie, which makes it that much better for the fans. This is something I could see having a cult following and performed on the regular around town.
Since this is only an hour, some things needed to be cut out, so if you’re looking for a 1:1 re-enactment, you won’t find that here. What they did include were the top story points and top lines. It’s a great time for casual fans who only know a couple lines and a great time for a hardcore fan who can recite it word for word. I’m excited to see and experience whatever they do next!
