The honesty and the humor. Brooke is willing to expose every aspect of herself in telling her story eliciting laughs and tears in equal measure. I became completely engaged in the journey.
What I didn't like
Although the show is recounting a story from the past I would like, at the end, to have had a quick “where are the now” sort of coda. I was so invested in it all I found myself wanting to know how everyone is doing.
My overall impression
An extremely satisfying journey. I was caught up in the story and emotionally engaged the whole way and you could tell the rest of the audience was as well. An aspect of the play is about “letting go” but Brooke is an actress totally in control of her funny, vulnerable and no-holds barred performance.
