Even in 2016, Mental Illness is an often-overlooked disease. Many people believe that if you cannot see that someone is sick, they are just faking it. Others believe that people make a choice to be happy and those that are not happy just choose to be sad or upset. Sometimes drugs and pills can help mental illness while therapy and psychologists help others. Mental illness, like drug or alcohol abuse, cannot but cured but instead must be carefully looked after and watched. Chemistry takes a brilliantly dark but bold look at a love story between two completely different people with two completely different mental illnesses and two completely different approaches to their disease but falls completely in love with one another. This show brought tears to my eyes again and again. It was heartbreaking and REAL. These are REAL issues, happening to REAL people. The actors did an incredible job of making these issues known. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and was moved by the performance. Well done!!... full review

I was lucky enough to catch this performance on Sunday afternoon. I was so happy I did, as it served as such a powerful message about mental health. The actor that played Jamie, did such a phenominal job representing someone with manic behavior. As someone with personal knowledge of that behavior within every day life, It was uncanny. This performance was a beautiful display of raw human emotion between two people being torn apart by mental illness. It is so real, flows well, and even at times makes you laugh. Well done!... full review
