Hollywood, CA (June 1, 2010): Producers David Wisehart and Rachel Stoll will present the world premiere of Valentino: a play in verse at the Flight Theatre at The Complex as part of the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival, June 17-27. Valentino: a play in verse will have eight full-length shows over the two weekends and a free showcase of scenes Saturday, June 19.
The play is based on the true story of the Borgia dynasty in Italy, 1502. Duke Valentino must face the sins of his past in order to protect his family. Brilliant and ambitious, Valentino wages a war to reclaim the Papal States for Rome, but he is haunted by the memory of murdering his brother. His beloved sister, Lucrezia Borgia, may already be plotting his destruction. Now his mercenary captains have formed a conspiracy aga...
