This kind of work is why I go see theater. It was marvelous-- strange, dreamlike, deeply poetic, visually striking and intense. ... full review

Carey Scot Wilkerson's play puts a different spin on the Icarus myth about Icarus who flies too close to the sun and then plummets to his death in the sea after the wings melted from the heat of the sun. It's the same story but brought into modern day commenting on our capitalist society by putting the actual fall on the Internet for all the world to see and make some money at the same time . Thomas Anawalt direction was solid in creating the island of Crete where the action is set. C Stephen Foster as Icarus was a delight playing this greek mythical figure who is sick and tired of his job perpetuating this myth of the boy who flew too close to the sun and crashed into the sea. I mean he does this year after year for a paying audience but do... full review

Like an old school groundhog day, it reminds us that we keep operating under the same habits (and mistakes perhaps) unless we break out of the prisons (imagined or real) that others and ourselves create for us -- unless we have the courage to try something different and stop the cycle. Scott Wilkerson and his carefully cast talent are each perfect f... full review

Total surprise. Unexpected just because so much else can be so bad. But this is funny, truly funny, while also mythic and gives you stuff to think about. Good acting and direction.... full review

Went deeper than most theater I see. Moved me. Idea of play: Who is in charge? The self or the gods and fate?) Loved the acting and humor and disciplined production all the way around.... full review

I was so impressed by this show. The entire cast and crew were so dedicated to the project. They are all wonderful professionals too and so generous to share their talents with the LA public. I truely hope their work is acknowledged and recognized in the LA Theatre community. I worked with all of them in a small film a while ago and I know that there is nothing more important to these people than their art and work and they all have sacrificed a great deal to be able to do this. This was a very difficult play and in their hands it was masterful.... full review
