Claire, habitually suicidal, has returned to her parent's home in rural Louisiana after an attempt on her life. Her brother Terrance has come to say goodbye, or to try to talk her out of a gift he thinks delusional, but that she considers the only thing that brings her any joy: the gift of flight.

This painfully funny and brutally authentic view of youth illuminates a world of sexual shame, moral order, and too much trig homework. Caught between supposed to and want to, adults and children alike are at once unbearably innocent, unbearably corrupt, and completely without answers.
