The Wake

The best word I can think of to describe Ben Moroski's energy is electric. From the second he sets foot in the theatre, you are right there with him, pulled in to his intriguing story. He commits to every moment without shying away from the very taboo subject matter of his piece. He never once apologizes for it but takes you on this wild ride and by the end, I honestly understood why his character would have a fling with a dead body. I felt his loneliness. I felt his pain. And I found mysel... full review

The Werewolves of Hollywood Blvd: A Damnable Rock Musical

Talk about a BOLD production!! The Werewolves of Hollywood Blvd. was wildly funny and entertaining. The actors are all 110% committed to the story and their characters. I loved watching them all interact during the ensemble pieces and really play off of one another. AND WOW CAN THIS CAST SING. The whole time I was watching it I kept having to remind myself I was at the Fringe. A production of this size (set, props, band) on a Fringe stage is so brave and wonderful to commit to. The Alexis Lambright Tell-A-Thon: Combating Adult Virginity

Alexis is so endearingly funny and wonderful! Her show is unique, bold, and brave. I can easily see her getting scooped up by Comedy Central and having her own show. Her story in combination with the funny house music (she's added her own flair to some familiar hits), her hysterical comedy videos spliced in between (where she takes to the streets of NY to ask questions about sex and virginity and gets some ridiculously wonderful answers), bold interactive audience participation, endearing singi... full review

Lost Moon Radio presents Million Dollar Hair

I have been hearing about Lost Moon Radio ever since I moved to LA and finally got to see what all the buzz is about. WOW. The show is awesome. Afterward, I found myself thinking about Barry Shoenfeld, as if I really knew him! I laughed the entire time. The songs are so cleverly written and totally capture the evolution of music and the rock stars of yesteryear as well as today. There are so many times when the cast could cross that line of overdoing it or being campy, especially with the n... full review

Mariah is simply wonderful. Her transition from character to character is sharp, funny, compelling, and seamless. Her story is riveting from start to finish and I loved every minute of it. I am also from New Jersey, and could relate to SO much of what she shared! She truly captured the essence of growing up in an Italian family and the culture that shapes your life. Her energy is through the roof and yet, she manages to stay grounded with the audience the entire time in an honest, brave, fun... full review

And She Bakes, LIVE.

This show is incredible! Daliya is so very gifted and brave. Her storytelling is compelling from the minute she enters the theatre (which is when house opens!) The bakeress is funny, endearing, witty, sharp, vulnerable, and all around loveable. Her love advice cuts straight to the point with a layer of sugary sweetness. I was so pulled in to her story....One minute I was laughing, the next I was crying.. then back to laughter, and by the end back to smiling but through tears. Her clever writ... full review

That's What She Didn't Say

"That's What She Didn't Say" is a brave, funny, vulnerable, moving, COMPELLING night of storytelling told straight from the heart. Bonnie is a joy to watch. Her story moved me to tears and made me want to help other women to tell their stories. Bonnie speaks her truth so candidly and with such wit and humor, the entire audience was leaning forward in their seats from start to finish. At the end of her opening night, she received a well-deserved standing ovation and the entire audience literal... full review

Circus of Love

"Bittersweet Love" is a truly beautiful piece. Daurden Contemporary Dance Theatre is an incredibly gifted group of dancers and I felt mesmerized by the entire performance. From a magical sky-high aerialist to the moving pieces on the ground, this show takes you on a journey from the intoxicating highs and devastating lows of love in all of its forms. My favorite piece told the story of a love triangle in which the staging illustrated the story of the unfaithful man and his lover on one side an... full review
