After a decade of bliss, Lily and Adam start a new chapter in their life together: having a baby of their own. Lily, almost 40, endures the physical toll of multiple miscarriages. Stresses mount and the couple’s dream of having a baby starts to slip away, until a young woman named Cosette, who can conceive, enters the picture and fills its negative spaces.

Melanie Holmes is the playwright and also portrays Lily. She’s appeared in several shows with Sacred Fools, including A Pound of Flesh; The Philadelphia; The Lower Depths; The Loveliest Afternoon; as well as several television shows and films. She appeared recently on the final season of the ABC series Mistresses. She directed Nicole Kidman, Julianne Moore and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the PSA campaign, Face the Issue.

Blythe Auffarth directs. Also an actor, she’s appeared at the Colony Theatre, the Geffen Playhouse, Lincoln Center, Roundabout, Playwrights Horizon, Paper Mill Playhouse and Antaeus. She’s appeared on numerous episodic television shows and films and she’s currently a series regular on Awestruck’s Overdue.

Laura Coover plays Cosette. A product of the Chicago theatre scene, she will appear in a Los Angeles production of Extremities in August. She’s appeared on a number of episodic television shows, Mike & Molly, Agent Carter and How to Get Away with Murder among them.

Wes McGee portrays Adam. His previous stage credits include Spike Heels, Time Stands Still, A Singular They, Lone Star, and more. He’s also appeared on film and television, including NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans and 2 Broke Girls.
