I liked the fact that I could laugh so much while at the same time being challenged. I attended the preview where I could keep my clothes on, but it made me wish I had the nerve to “let it all hang out,” like the actors and so many of the audience members did.
What I didn't like
If I had been inhibition-free enough to disrobe, I would’ve been too cold to sit there naked. To me air-conditioning (at least to that extent) and nudity don’t go together. I would’ve needed to wear something over me just to keep warm. I guess I’m a wimp when it comes to cold.
My overall impression
Although this play was a comedy, and was indeed very funny, I thought its significance went way beyond that. The Naturist philosophy was front and center and was extremely thought-provoking, albeit couched in an amusing family farce. I appreciate when a play is multi-layered like that.
