Mercy is a is a darkly comedic play that centres around a British Iranian expat family living in London. 

Starring Shila Ommi, Bernard White, Afsaneh Dehrouyeh, Julia Frith and Jeffrey Sugarman, the story takes audiences on a spiritual and mystical journey delving into themes of grief, acceptance and most importantly, love. Through biting humour and tender moments, Mercy explores an emotionally complex portrait of a man and woman facing mortality, their tumultuous state of a crumbling marriage, and the fragmenting effects it has on their family.

Shila is known for her performances in AppleTV’s ‘Tehran’ (the third season will be airing soon), Disney/Pixar’s Oscar nominated film ‘Elemental’, and Netflix’s upcoming new series ‘Kaos’ amongst many. Shila will be playing the role of Amireh, the matriach of the family.

Bernard is known for his performances in ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix Revolutions’, Netflix’s ‘Beef’, ABC’s ‘Big Sky’, and ‘Keeping Company’. Bernard will be playing the role of Sol, Amireh’s husband.

Afsaneh was in the recently BAFTA/Oscar nominated short film ‘Yellow’, ‘Our Kind of Love’, the key role of Mahdiya Kattan in ‘Tyrant’, and in the recent BBC series "Granite Harbour’. Afsaneh will be playing the role of Yasmine, the daughter of the family. 

Julia has a record of theatrical performances such as ‘Comedy About a Bank Robbery’, ‘The Brontes’, and ‘Twelfth Night’. She has also appeared in various TV and films including Netflix’s ‘One day’, and the upcoming ‘Julia’. Julia is playing the fish-out-of-water wife of Danny. 

Jeffrey is well known for his performances in ‘House M.D.’, ‘CSI: Crime Scene Investigation’ and ‘Medium’.
