A performance of PUNISH ME with a slightly different cast tonight (6/7/2026) at the Hudson Backstage Theater proved just as sharp and professional as the one I saw in February. It remains a well‑written thriller, penned by Michael Dukakis and performed by him alongside a well‑chosen cast. Dana Kim, the childhood drama bits have really come 'round...and in your one-woman show, you get to play your Babushka. It may have been only an hour, but call me Uncle Brian because I got to be as good as the other Gartlands for your Grade School days and Sean's cancer bit. Hilarious, moving and filled with Sean's fresh spirit through to the end.
