The Aerial Girl

Anna Simone Scott’s directorial debut short film has really taken flight. It has been scooping awards at Film Festivals all over the world and now lands at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. This stunning work starring Sarah De La Isla and Joel Stoffer is a lyrical and moving drama set on the plains of Wyoming. When a young girl moves to her grandparents ranch, she unearths the family secret which changes her life forever. Based on the play written by Terri Sissman, who also wrote the screenplay, the film earned the Honorable Filmmaker Award at La Femme Film Festival and Special Acknowledgment in Milan as well as Winner of Best Film and Audience Pick in Maryland. And to top this winning streak, exciting newcomer, Sarah De La Isla, most recently won the 2012 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Short Film. This compelling drama marks Anna Simone Scott’s directorial debut in film. Beautifully shot on the Canon 7D by Danna Kinsky and written with searing simplicity by Terri Sissman, the film has already made its mark on the US and International Film Festival circuit and continues to do so. It has won four awards and one nomination:
The Special Acknowledgement Award at I’ve Seen Films in Milan and The Filmmaker Honorable Mention Award at La Femme Film Festival in Hollywood; nominated for Best International Short Film at Barossa International Film Festival, South Australia.
