My overall impression
This autobiographical oeuvre will take you on an unexpected rollercoaster! I spent the entire show trying to get a glimpse of who this Neecole person was….and I saw her… a little girl in the midst of the insanity around her…a young tween overcoming the insanity around her…a college student creating insanity….and a burgeoning woman taking hold of the insanity that existed to step into her own womanhood. A well written piece about a sometimes chaotic life..that lets you into your own humanity as you see the love she has for those she calls family…in particular…her mother. She is not her mother…but , on some levels….she is…and she pays homage to that. Well done!
