What I liked
I was truly impressed with the actors’ ability to perform and sustain such a high level of emotion for nearly the entire show. The casting was well done and performed by talented individuals. Hope to see more of them.
Really enjoyed and look forward to seeing more of Nicholas Buda’s work
What I didn’t like
I would have liked to know a little more about the Mom to have a better understanding of why things had turned out as they did. However, for being a short play, it left the imagination to fill in the blanks…which sometimes makes for a great conversation after the show.
My overall impression

May 18, 2022, Hollywood, CA. This June, the Hollywood Fringe Festival will feature the World premiere of IT’S IN OUR BONES by neurodivergent writer/director Nicholas Buda. This three-person drama explores twisted family dynamics inspired by Buda’s own family background, with a mysterious supernatural element. The play will run for four performances at the Asylum at the Stephanie Feury Studio Theatre as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
Olive and Amber are sisters who are ten years apart in age and lifetimes apart in personal experience.
