This was a really top-notch production. The writing, staging and performances would hold their own anywhere, Broadway included....

A wildly fun romp and an instructive peek behind the curtain at the machinations that did much to lead our politics to the grim state in which we currently find them. With its clever script, creative staging, and stellar performances, this is a must-see....

What a fantastic show, and so well deserving of Pick of the Fringe! Lucy Gillespie slays again with hilarious, sharp writing after her Prozorov hit last Fringe. Billy Ray Brewton keenly directs these excellent actors who bring energetic hilarity to the Broadwater stage. Ben Hethcoat and Luke Forbes make quite the team, with excellent acting chops from both. Hethcoat truly becomes Atwater, transcending the role. Delicious moments between Hethcoat and Fringe vet Chloe Dworkin - whose beauty only adds to her poignant scenes. The acting is quite superb throughout, with McElwee bringing it home as Jim. A marvelous piece....

A fascinating biodrama filled with wit and an exceptional performance by Ben Hethcoat. From the POV of Lee Atwater, we watch him rise through the political ranks, break conventions, and change the system. The script carefully deviates from its A-plot from time to touch on Lee's love life. An extremely enjoyable play from a solid theatre producing team. You will leave the theater ready to Google Lee Atwater and find out more....

Effortlessly woven dialogue merges with a fascinating story of our own steps to where we are as a country. This piece of story-telling gave me a little window into a reality of what if... what if just a few people had made a few different choices? What if just one person had somehow stood their moral ground?
And a piece of art that leaves me asking questions, instead of wanting answers, is a piece of art that has the chance of shifting the way we see.
I was obviously moved by this story, and I think you will be, too.
