My overall impression
Laura’s dark humor pushes boundaries and raises a lot of interesting and ironic questions, but when during the preview performance, she rushed through setting up the construct for the show – asking “How did I get here?!” – I found myself floundering to understand where in time we were and why exactly I, as audience member, should care. I laughed out loud, I marveled at her bare naked honesty and comedic chutzpah, but ultimately I felt the piece needs more feedback, more development, and a couple more drafts before it shines at its full potential.
