Wow, I could not be more impressed. Go see this show – it is above all entertaining, above all else very touching in every way, and above the rest education. Majd has certainly risen above. So happy for your accomplishment with what you've done with this play!... full review

There is a sincerity to Murad's work that cannot be understated. He has a unique insight into his own young life as well as the salient issues within it that almost everyone can relate to. I laughed. I cried. I remembered with him. It was an honor to be both witness and participant to his life.... full review

To be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot. I am not a big fan of 1 person shows, but have to admit I was totally blown away by how much I enjoyed this play. It was entertaining on a variety of levels inducing laughter from both light and dark humor, as well as rage, anger and even made me cry at one point. I highly recommend it to anyone who had to or is thinking of coming out to family & friends. Even breeders should see this play to get a better idea of how hard it is for the queer in your family to admit their biggest secret to you. GO SEE IT before it's gone!... full review

An engaging one-man production of a young gay man's journey from the closet to self-realization. The main character leads the audience over a course of 8 years. He starts as a closeted immigrant American teenager and takes the audience with him to the present day. In the course of this, we follow him through high school graduation, college, first love, first heartache, and eventually finding his niche in the world. It is the most naked and honest performance I have ever seen.... full review

An amazingly well executed performance that took the audience from rolling laughter to tears welling up and back again over the 90 minutes. A truly gifted performer who has no fear of who he is, where he has come from, and clearly has the drive to go far in life.... full review

This was an inspiring performance by Majd. It was well-written, with moments of humor that moved the audience to laughter throughout the show, and moments of sorrow that definitely brought the audience to tears. It is the story of a very personal journey told through the prism of a blood orange tree, with the blood theme linked throughout the show with family, tragedy, joy, and sorrow. Blood Fruit is a show that everyone can relate to and empathize with if you have family that drives you crazy, to tears, to laughter, and to love. With minimal props and a stunning dialogue, the show is well worth 90 minutes and received a standing ovation on opening night. It is a story of self-reflection, a journey of hope, and the trials and tribulation... full review
