We Need This Musical To Stop Us From Killing Ourselves

What I liked

You can tell from the title someone is trying to kill themself, but the clever interaction between therapist and patients, with a lot of self-referential fun and gallows humor thrown in is totally unexpected and enjoyable. Great characterizations by the whole cast, and OMG: those lush orchestrations in this teeny-tiny theatre are amazing.

What I didn't like

I’d like to see them explore it possibly becoming a longer show. There’s a lot more they could develop and the material did seem to get stronger as the show went along. Occasionally singers were a little overpowered by the volume of the accompaniment, but only a bit.

My overall impression

Very original and entertaining one-act musical on a dark but (who knew it could be?) hilarious subject!
