A really wonderful study of Marilyn. Kelly's performance is fully committed and she transforms from the ditzy, blonde-bombshell to a real woman with real, relate-able problems. She takes us on a full journey that was just a pleasure to enjoy and fascinating to imagine! ... full review

Marilyn Monroe: The Last Interview offers much more than the title might indicate, that being perhaps something along the line of final thoughts or stories confined to the late era of Monroe’s all-too-brief career and life. But the interview is merely the open window for Mullis to walk the audience through Monroe’s background all the way to childhood and early work through to her untimely death in a marvelously interwoven and researched piece of writing. I mention the writing first because Mullis is so charming, disarming, and spontaneous as Monroe, that one almost forgets it’s a written, historical piece on stage. Kelly Mullis brings Marilyn Monroe to life in an amazing performance that is all at once moving, informative and funny. From her first moment on stage, Mullis grabs the audience's attention with Marilyn's dry wit and humor. After that, it's an incredible ride through Marilyn's life showcasing her relationships, struggles, hopes and fears that never lags and is always engaging. Mullis embodies Marilyn physically, vocally and emotionally so completely that you feel as though you're watching the real Marilyn. What's even better is that Mullis presents not just the glamorous "showbiz" side of Marilyn that most are familiar with, but also the everyday, insecure person she was on the inside. Mullis deserves every bit of the standing ovation she... full review

Ms. Mullen does a stellar job of bringing Marylin back to life - with all her charm and foibles and we can't help but fall in love with her. A totally enjoyable hour of intrigue, voyeurism and excellent singing to boot. Definitely one of my Fringe 2018 favorites! ... full review

Kelly allows a look into Marilyn that reflects not only the icon but the damaged, lonely and pained Norma Jean. It does not take a dark turn, which allows you to continue to love Marilyn and feel for the vulnerability and pain of Norma Jean. I got a last minute ticket, expecting to be under-whelmed and came away a big fan of Kelly's with a more compassionate feel and understanding of Marilyn.... full review
