What I liked

I loved that the entirety of the play took place in the living room. I thought it was an incredibly creative use of space. The actors all worked well together and excelled in their roles…very cohesive team!

What I didn't like

The only recommendation I would make would be for some actors to project their voices slightly more and also slow their speech down. However, they overall did great, and these suggestions were in no way distracting to the performance.

My overall impression

I really enjoyed this play! I was impressed by the creative use of space and unique story line. I was engaged throughout and lost myself in the story of the characters. I would definitely recommend!

A father rules a made-up nation with his family as his only subjects. When his son takes the mission too far and his daughter questions everything, he fights for power in the face of family, country, and reality.

Too Blunt!

Kelvin Blunt's solo show recounts his journey to weight loss, childhood crushes, and modern dating. He also unpacks the unique intersectionality of race and sexual orientation--and pays homage to two of his sheroes: his mother and Janet Jackson.
