I didn't really know what to expect from this show. I went as a fan of "Gentleman" Jervis Cottonbelly and wanting to hear his story about his recent battle with depression. What I got was an hour of honesty and entertaining stories and comedy. ... full review

If you like to find the unexpected humor and poignancy in personal pain, this brutally honest show is for you. Particularly relevant to this very moment, a show in which people confront their actual lives and demons is incredibly cathartic and feels really brave. Highly recommend. ... full review

A deeply profound, emotionally raw, and, at times, uncomfortably honest examination of mental health and the struggles faced by those it impacts, "Taming of the Shamed" will leave you in tears. Whether those tears are of laughter, of sympathy, or of personal pain will be entirely dependent on your personal experiences, and that is largely why it's such a great show.... full review

I went into this show excited to see something amazing, based on earlier reviews. Let's just say that I had not expected the emotional rawness of this show. Every actor stood on that stage and bore their souls to us. I couldn't help but to be touched by every story. I think "Taming of the Shamed" is an important work of art. I would love for it to tour, so that the message of the show could be shared to others. It's that good! ... full review
