In full disclosure, Mindy is a member of my community and Movement to shift the perception of women at Midlife and beyond. I’m not a performer and have immense respect for those who do perform and create their own material. The subject matter is important to me, clearly. Mindy shares in her unique and authentic way. She’s not afraid to be herself. She also shares both personal stories and inspiring stories about aging. I hope we can see more people having conversations about aging and working to uplift one another through laughter and kindness. ... full review

Mindy's insights, humor, and creativity are such a gift! I love how she makes the audience feel like we are sitting in her living room, having an open and joy-infused conversation. Mindy is a born performer and comedian, and with heartfelt and inspired wisdom to share as well. A joyful hour of entertainment for any age group.... full review

We went in expecting to have a one-person exploration of the aspects of aging, and how one can age without gaining the “Get Off My Lawn” attitude. We expected a performer that had the material down pat, that was able to engage and tell the story and keep the audience entranced. That view would be reinforced by all the rave reviews on the performers website. One would expect a highly entertaining, well-organized, one-person show. I don’t know what show those people were seeing (or what they were smoking). Perhaps she was having a bad day, but what we got was something different. What we got was the author, Mindy Fradkin (FB), also known as “Princess Wow“, rambling and telling the story of her life, constantly putting on her glasses and readin... full review

“Ageless Wonder” is the catch-all phrase that succinctly captures the essence of writer/performer Mindy Fradkin’s solo show at the Hollywood Fringe Festival. She starts off by telling her audience that she was once one of the Beatles’ screaming fans in the 60’s. She, herself, started performing at the young age of nine years old, and along her fascinating life journey, she was a hippie and went to comedy school in NYC. There is a wonderfully conceived backdrop to her animated storytelling, replete with moviolas, pictures, and music by her and the very talented Roland Moussa. She’s also has a forte in custom designing hats, which have been sold at Nordstrom’s and various boutiques. She is also the founder of the ‘Smile Revolution,’ her ... full review

The show is an unfortunate miss-mosh of impressions and uninteresting quotes on aging. Few of these thoughts are original, such as: "you start shrinking." I couldn't tell that the show had been directed at all. The solo performer, Mindy, wears a big hat on stage and the lighting is so bad that all you can see is her lips moving, no facial expressions whatsoever. She needed to constantly refer to a book of notes to remember what she was talking about. I really wanted to like the show, but it becomes relentlessly uncomfortable. She sings about 4 songs about smiling....never smiling once herself through any song. The show starts with her telling the audience about how funny everyone thinks she is. Nothing kills a show like telling an ... full review
