West Coast Premiere of "PULP Shakespeare"
June 06, 2011LOS ANGELES. June 2011– Her Majesty’s Secret Players is pleased to announce Pulp Shakespeare; the classical adaptation of the critically acclaimed film “Pulp Fiction”. Adapted by Ben Tallen, Aaron Greer, Chris Adams, Jordan Monsell and Brian Watson-Jones, and directed by Jordan Monsell; the West Coast premiere of Pulp Shakespeare will appear at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival for a limited 8 show engagement this June.
Her Majesty’s Secret Players is dedicated to staging not only the classics, but modern stories with a classical “twist”, thus allowing audiences to enjoy Shakespeare on a whole new level.
Originally performed at the Minnesota Festival in 2009 to rave reviews, this wildly entertaining play, set in Elizabethan London, weaves the story of a pair of murderers, their boss’s alluring wife, and a desperate knight.
