Harmony Boys is HILARIOUS - I laughed the entire time. This cast and crew gets so much right with this show - the writing is witty, relevant, and quick-paced, the singing is great, the band seriously rocks, the choreography is hysterically funny, and the jokes had all of us in the audience audibly gasping in disbelief - "did they really just go there??" It's 1962 and all of America is white and middle class. You remember, the way we saw it through TV and radio? Think Andy Williams and Perry Como. But as the Harmony Boys so hilariously showcase, behind the fake trees and hired Santas was the misogyny, racism and homophobia that is currently Making America Great Again. I was laughing from start to finish! This is a brilliantly written musical, with enough comedic talents to make you want more and more! I wish I could see the show a hundred times, it was seriously so fantastic. If you have limited time at Fringe, please make sure you do not miss this hilarious, AMAZING show!!!! The Harmony Boys Christmas show is exactly the type of Comedy show we need to see more of. Good comedy strikes a nerve and the Harmony Boys provided a perfect blend of political and satirical comedy. I didn't expect the ensemble cast to be so large and they were amazing. It was so good that the hour long show flew by. The Harmony boys was hilarious! This show truly does bring the real meaning of Christmas in the 1960s to the stage, which in itself was filled with sexism, racism, homophobia, and murder! All the things you could love about Christmas. The four men bring the characters to life entirely and I would gladly see this show again in a heartbeat.... full review

The Harmony Boys allowed me to find God. It was a transformative, powerful expeience that forever left an impact on my life. Had such a great time at the Harmony Boys Christmas Special! First, the gents have truly solid vocals and...harmonies. :) Fun/suggestive choreography and quite biting social commentary. The show really moves along which is not always a guarantee at Fringe. Great support by a swinging band and love the cameos by the Harmony children and their mother. This is one of the best shows of the Fringe. The Harmony Boys completely captures the spirit of the crooner 50s with fantastic modern day subtext. Considering I started laughing at the program, the show gets off on the right foot and stay there throughout. The cast is top notch and inhabit their roles perfectly (extra shoutout to the casting director who found the Harmony children). The show moves along at a great pace backed by a tight band and the word that came most to mind was "polished". This is a fantastic piece of theatre that moves along due to fantastic direction and choreography, adept acting and has a professionalism which is rare at the Fringe. The Harmony Boys will crack you up! Beyond a great musical/comedy piece, these guys can actually sing their twisted, yet wonderfully composed, holiday numbers beautifully. Plus they had a four piece band on stage that was so smooth I’d forgotten they were even there halfway through the show. Great writing and hilarious characters carry this show so briskly and smoothly, it just flies by. The humor will make you laugh and feel terribly uncomfortable at the same time, as it puts a window up to a middle-American past that may not be as long put away yet as we might hope.
