What I liked

Christopher Johnson directs a taut, polished production of one of Christopher Marlowe’s less frequently performed plays. He’s helped by Jen Albert’s electrifying fight choreography and Linda Muggeridge’s era-jumping costumes. The superb cast includes Heather Schmidt as the eponymous King, Kara Hume as the scheming Queen and Eric Rollins as an athletic Sir Roger Mortimer. The choral singing at spiritual moments, and the 80’s pop played during scenes of debauchery both worked well, but…

What I didn't like

… they bumped heads when they were close to juxtaposed.

My overall impression

A superlative production of a rarely performed classic makes THE FAGGOT KING a must-see.
