School Of Night wowed me last year with their debut show Punch And Judy at The Hollywood Fringe Festival, and I honestly wasn’t sure how they would top it. But, my oh my how they have delivered and then some with The Faggot King or the Troublesome Reign of Edward II. It is all about precision and detail in Christopher Johnson’s masterful direction. It’s brilliant how he has the cast perform many of the scenes completely to the audience in a presentational style. Linda Muggeridge’s costumes are gorgeous and (without giving anything away) fit the time period wonderfully. Violent, sexy, funny. If you don't like what School of Night is doing here, there is something wrong with you. Ten good actors speak the speech, but even if you are completely deaf, you will still understand what is going on in, so clear is the directing and blocking. You cannot not understand what is happening....
