Review by FRANCIS MCKAY

What I liked

SWEPT AWAY is an ingeniously contrived and staged mini-musical play, well directed by Bonnie Root.
It’s most noteworthy for the outstanding performance of Katherine King, who acts with great skill and conviction in a range of moods, and marvelously sings the fine lyrics of some very tuneful songs – which she wrote herself.
She’s extremely well backed up by the perfectly tuned guitar-playing of Vince White.

Other players, Steven Juhl (who ran the tech) and Justin Baltz, provide good journeyman performances, and a deceived us all when she appeared as the second of two characters she played. See it!
