The Wishbone Theatre Collective has seemingly come out of nowhere to create one of the great theatre pieces of this year's Fringe festival. Very well-done and entertaining! Great acting! Sure, there's scandal, betrayal, and murder - but there's also a lot of humor and (hey!) the killing is a crime of passion...and it's completely understandable, anyway! The structure of the storytelling was unique and very effective. Funny meta nods to the audience, well thought out sound design and transitions helped move from moments of heartbreaking intimacy to off-the-wall circus court scenes. The whole cast (truly all of them) were top notch, generous, fully connected talents. They went balls to the wall and drove the story successfully from start to finish. I left the theatre feeling the joy of the production but also the ache that we, as a society, haven't moved far enough away from the realities of Laura D... full review
