What is A Horse? Webster’s dictionary defines it as a “large, solid-hoofed herbivorous ungulate.” But for four friends in Los Angeles, A Horse is a fast-paced, irreverent improv show that abuses the language of Shakespeare and attacks his tropes.

But isn’t Shakespeare dead? Yes, if he ever existed. Launching off the suggestion of a play that ‘hath not yet been scribed’ (see what we didst there?) they invoke the Bard’s spirit in a glorious waste of intelligence.

Wait a minute, this already sounds pretentious. This isn’t just another show about kings and queens and serfs. We keep the story in modern times. The only queens you’re going to see are the fabulous fairies of Hollywood Blvd. And serfs? Perhaps an underling or two that take up employment at Ye King of Burgers. Joke line here.

OK, you’ve sold me, but isn’t improv bad for you? No.
