Thome and directed by Stan Zimmerman, Warm Cheese is an intimate and comedic exploration of a woman wanting to no longer hate her dead mother. The night of her mother’s funeral as the family all gathers, a daughter learns more about her mother than she ever expected or wanted.
The show deals with multiple themes including family dynamics and the grieving process (when you’re not interested in grieving.) “In my family the only way to deal with anything difficult was through humor,” Thome offers. “The only difference is that as a writer and storyteller I took my process to paper and performance.”
