Show Description:
Not all shoplifters steal out of need or greed.
The STICKYFINGERS women shoplift out of deeper psychological reasons that they may not be able to acknowledge.
A female SECURITYGUARD who has seen it all is the guide and moral conscience for the eight women who tell their personal stories.
TIFFANY steals makeup from Sephora; EVE dreams of having a new iPhone; ROBIN, is a “freegan” who is sick and tired of eating and wearing what no one else wants; DEIDRE fondly remembers her one and only shoplifting experience; BEVERLY compulsively steals gifts for her family; JANE thinks “free food just tastes better” and of course there’s the most famous shoplifter of our time WINONA who walks out of Saks Fifth Avenue with $5,653 worth of merchandise.
These humorous and heartbreaking true stories have found their way to the stage through extensive research and conversations with real shoplifters.
