It’s hard to write a review for a show that accomplishes so much in under an hour. First there is the amazing ensemble cast to congratulate. They handle the tragically comedic and emotional moments with equal grace and aplomb. However, for me the real star of this show is the beautiful and sincere writing from Annamarie Davidson. In under 50 minutes she creates a fascinating family dynamic that lives and breathes. These characters are people you’ve met, so grounded in truth that you don’t always like them. However there is no right or wrong in Seven Decembers, no outright villains or heroes, just a family trying its best. Whether their best is good enough is left for the viewer to decide.
