Virginity is a big deal. Crossing that line means something for men--and even more, most people would say, for women. So if a woman reaches 30 and hasn't yet lost hers, is that strange? Funny? Sad? Lonely? Come see this fantastic play and you'll see that the answer is all of this--and none--and somewhere in-between. I wasn't sure exactly what I was in for when I walked into the lovely and intimate Studio C space for this show. But there was Katelyn Schiller, already our prime innocent adult, prepped with her slide projector of important "virgin data", telling me where to sit and breaking down any sense of separation between herself and the audience. What a smart, smart move. Because that's what this show is about: This is the tal... full review

THE TYPE OF PRODUCTION EVERY FRINGE SHOULD BE SO LUCKY TO HAVE... WITH SO MANY ALMOST GOOD OR EVEN TERRIBLY BAD PRODUCTIONS BEING SHOWCASED...IT'S SUCH A RELIEF TO FINALLY SIT DOWN AND WATCH PROFESSIONALS AT WORK, DOING WHAT THEY LOVE BEST, REACHING ACROSS THE FOOTLIGHTS AND CATCHING THE AUDIENCE WITH EVERY WORD. ... full review

Where do I begin? The script by Carla Neuss is a gutsy, well-crafted, and funny/sad exploration of one woman's journey to remain a virgin until she finally marries The One. The smart and simple direction by Payden Ackerman connects the audience to the show in a much more emotionally connected way than most fourth-wall-breaking shows. This, of course, is largely due to the great performances of the two actors. Josh Bross does fantastic work as NUMEROUS characters, all quite different and, more importantly, all extremely grounded and real. And then there's Katelyn Schiller. I fell head over heels for Katelyn Schiller when she changed the way I looked at theater in last year's MURDER BLOOD BEAR. And, personal connection to review here, she ... full review

The writing and acting was great. I mean how can you not love a bit about a woman's first foray into fingering. How Josh managed to be all male characters was quite amazing; and Katelyn really made you feel for her rollercoaster of dealing with being a sexualized virgin.... full review
