This is a heartfelt look into the innocence and precociousness of Anne Frank in the days leading up to her fateful escape into the Annex. Unique movement vocabulary, articulate acting, and clever staging illustrate the story of this clever girl whose life was ended too soon. But we aren't shown the parts we know already. We are instead given a chance to see her as a fully dimensional being, and not just as a symbol for the tragedy of war. We delight in her curiosity, we feel for her, and we know what awaits her- the play makes you love this girl who you know history will take away. This is a clever, family-friendly, play that imagines what "might have happened" prior to the Frank family going into hiding. At times filled with pre-teen angst and other times, tremendous sadness, this show has a lot of potential to be expanded and continue glorious runs in the future! This was one of the most moving shows I have ever seen! The acting of Nora King was phenomenal. Her range of emotions drew the audience in and provided a powerful statement about innocence and tragedy - I cried, and so did everyone around me. I heard others in the audience saying that the show was sold out the night before and the whole audience was abuzz in anticipation. At the end of the performance we all sat there unable to move. What a powerful show and incredible performance by Nora King and the others as well and an overall extremely powerful show. This is a not to miss!!!!... full review

Thirteen's Spring isn't a show you forget about. Its days later and I catch myself recalling text I remember, thinking about the massive scale of language there is in the physical along with poetic aspects of the show. From the first few moments, Thirteen's Spring introduces itself with sophistication and specificity and before we know it, at the end, we find for such a familiar hero around the world.
