I was skeptical at first about a show that was clearly going to depend on resurrecting the stubborn charisma and dicey charm of the one and only Mr. Telly Savalas, but I was quickly captivated by Tom DiMenna's formidable presence. His performance led the audience by the hand into a lost world of rat-pack creature comforts and large-swath lady-killing.
Written by Hunter Nelson, the show is a charge to the living, especially to the younger living, to inject a special kind of romance into the stuttering, hyper-active digital world. Slow down and fuck the roses.
Director Taylor Negron is a god-child of this decade steeped in crooked macho smiles and bare-chested savvy and serves up a snifter of double fermented claaaass!
