My overall impression
Booze, Balls and Bluegrass is a show not to be missed. Laura Carson is a thoroughly engaging and honest storyteller with a wry and compassionate sense of humor and a relatable, entertaining and heartfelt tale to tell. It’s well staged and beautifully performed.
There is not a false note in the evening, nor is there a moment of self-pity or demand for sympathy and attention by reason of existence that can plague one-person shows.
One-person shows live or die based on whether or not you want to spend time with the storyteller. You’ll want to spend a lot longer than the hour that you get with Laura.
