If your’e looking for a non-pretentious solo show with truth and heart, Wade Skalsky is your man. He is no actor (as other reviewers as himself freely admits) he’s a lawyer, and in his first time on the stage, he makes his case: Alcoholism, life choices, women (or lack of the three.) Being a defense attorney he’s obviously comfortable with being in front of people, and his jokes are spot on. The most lovable thing about all of this though is Wade himself, and this show’s real strength is how much he lets his generous, humble nature, he’s like a mid-western Woody Allen, whose self consciousness, though out of place in a tall, strong and handsome chap such as he (btw and have you seen his wife!!??) is 100% sincere and refreshing in a festival of solo shows that often are too eager to prove. Wade has NOTHING to prove, but so much to share. Thanks Wade.
