I honestly didn't know anything about this show going in. And I am so glad. Les and Marlene surprised me so much by just how simple, sweet and honest this show was. How well the two of them moved through their segments was beautiful. And both of them are such masterful storytellers that the entire audience was with them from start to finish. This show is a poignant, entertaining and heart felt piece of theatre. It is a perfectly balanced production from start to finish. Between the writing and the performance it's hard to tell who the star of the show is. Both performers show us who they are while simultaneously keeping enough distance so as not to be gratuitous.They have somehow figured out a way to tell their story that will inevitably lead you to start exploring your own. The show is at times sad, uplifting or contemplative but always engaging. Each performer speaks honestly and allows their words to do the work. What can I say... It's been a long time since I've left a show with that big of a smile on my face. The stories are amazing, the delivery is captivating and it's just flat out fun. Both actors give a great performance and have an amazing way of keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time, wanting to know what happens next. This is a must see show if you're looking to enjoy every moment and be taken on an emotional rollercoaster that leaves you grinning ear to ear. Absolutely impressed!! ... full review

I laughed, I gasped, I think I even purred at one point. What a wonderful cross country-road trip of stories, twists and unexpected realizations. There is a certain delicious contrast between Les Kurkendaal's frantic-go-lucky adventure and Marlene Nichols' sultry, poetic memoir. It was fun just watchin these two, in turn, fill the stage in such an intimate venue. as the Elephant Studio in Hollywood. The heart of this piece is honest and genuine. Les gives us an earnest account of his road trip release from the malaise that sent him driving out of Los Angeles.
