Megan Dolan's SNACK is a tightly constructed journey through the pot-holed and knotted roads of a SoCal childhood ... with the comfort of a stack of shortbread cookies. Director Chris Game tightens Ms. Dolan's finely interwoven tale with seamless blocking and astute stagecraft. Ms. Dolan inhabits everything from a lisping EST-like leader to feckless parents to a sarcastic older brother in an adept performance. Curtis Brooks' giant box of Lorna Doone cookies gives her the perfect launching pad. Definitely recommended.... full review

When I met Megan she made it sound as if she were just a mom wanting to put on a show about snacks. Which alone sounded amazing to me since I love snacks. But it turned out that Megan is actually a theatre veteran who has a long successful acting career and it showed in her performance. She was funny, moving and hit just the right levels with a portrayal of herself throughout her childhood and current life as a mom. It is not a stationary show, Megan moves the story along with her entire body and the entire stage. I was thoroughly entertained and would recommend the show to anyone. ... full review

Not only are all of the late 70s and early 80s references a treat to re-live, but underneath all that humor is a story I could relate to as a mother who (sometimes) is struggling to keep it all together. I love it when shows take us on a ride, and then sneak up on you. I was laughing one minute and then tears were streaming the next. Thank you for sharing your snacks with us!... full review

Megan Dolan is captivating, funny, clever. I didn't know what to expect exactly... I mean... I like snacks. I was surprised and moved to hear about an childhood spent navigating the world of divorce, new step moms, cult-like experiential weekends and sibling bond tested by it all. Really funny and insightful.... full review

This was a great show! Megan was the most believable 8 year old I have seen in a long time - more believable than most actual 8 year olds! Here energy was incredible - she put everything out there on the stage, her joy, her pain, her humor and her sense of play. One warning, this show made me very hungry!... full review
