I thought a Neil Labute play was a safe solid choice to showcase actors in the fringe. The amazing rating is biased as I am connected to multiple aspects of the production, however: The performances were sharp. The play itself is a bit of a groundhog's day scenario, where a similar setup has different outcomes and the actors truly thrived in making each scene pop with a different tonality. The lead role was admirably played under the difficult circumstances the fringe festival, and any labor of love production, often creates. I would have liked to see more range of depth, though I'm not sure the play lends itself to that in the character, one who is barely likeable in his state of human desperation. Gregory James massaged the ... full review

Mostly, this play felt awfully repetitive and typically misanthropic without being particularly insightful. Each of its scenes just a small variation on the other and each is extremely pessimistic. A little balance might have served the show well. The production suffered from the limitations of the space and there were major distractions from the adjoining bar throughout the show. Probably even more annoying for the performers than the audience, but still a major issue. The show gets a major jolt halfway through when the character of Lindsay (Rachel Parker) makes her appearance, perfectly capturing her character's years of pent-up hatred and vitriol though beneath it all, the pain, hurt and even the love she felt from years prior were c... full review

This was quite an interesting "fly on the wall" perspective of one guys past intimate relationships confronted in search of closure. Well acted by all, but this cast particularly showcased the ladies, especially Lindsay (Rachel Parker). Definitely worth an evening of theatre... Good times!!... full review

In this Neil LaBute play, a guy named "Guy" visits a handful of ex-girlfriends under the pretense of wanting/needing a karmic clean slate from each of them before getting married. Guy's character is discovered through his interactions with these various ladies and we soon realize his proclivity for slinking out of relationships without explanation or even acknowledgment. Witnessing this semi-celebrity fiction writer's lack of maturity in dealing with conflict/confrontation is disappointing. This is a man who has and continues to let himself off the hook and expects others to do the same. A role like this could easily lend to making broad conclusions and one-note choices but actor Gregory James does not fall into this trap . Though more ... full review

Loved the show. Great performances by all six actors, Gregory James, ;Laura Hartley, Dana Kalan, Brianne La Flair and Katherine Diaz. I hear it's been extended and I highly recommend you go see it. I love the intimacy of the space; The Three of Clubs makes for a great venue. Sitting in the front row as I was, I could have just reached out and touched the actors (of course I wouldn’t do that). This was a triumph for director David Svengalis!... full review
