I have been hearing about Lost Moon Radio ever since I moved to LA and finally got to see what all the buzz is about. WOW. The show is awesome. Afterward, I found myself thinking about Barry Shoenfeld, as if I really knew him! I laughed the entire time. The songs are so cleverly written and totally capture the evolution of music and the rock stars of yesteryear as well as today. There are so many times when the cast could cross that line of overdoing it or being campy, especially with the nature of the script, and yet THEY NEVER DO. They simply stay grounded in truth and play it 100% straight, which is what makes it even funnier. These off the wall characters are played so truthfully, you really believe them and empathize with their ... full review

This show was a lot of fun! Both silly and smart! The songs were hilarious and the voices were beautiful. Put this on your Fringe "must see" list!... full review

I've been doing the Fringe thing for the past couple years, and Lost Moon Radio is probably the one act I plan my whole schedule around. This year's show Million Dollar Hair might be tied for my favorite thing I've seen them do. I really like their usual freeform radio format, but a tribute concert was right up their alley. It's kind of crazy how they just deliver song after song after song that's both super catchy and super funny. I saw another review comparing Lost Moon to Weird Al, but I think they go beyond what he does. He changes lyrics to popular songs and is always playing himself. Lost Moon creates the whole thing from scratch, from music to lyrics to characters. You can guess who they are parodying, but it's also something b... full review

I have to agree with Jason Rohrer's review at Stage and Cinema on this one (http://www.stageandcinema.com/2014/06/13/million-dollar-hair-lost-moon/). I am a HUGE fan of Lost Moon Radio, trumpeting about the inventive troupe for years. For “Million Dollar Hair,” the actors, the characterizations, the band, the lighting, the production: all were amazing. And no doubt there were some guffaw-inducing moments. But I found myself itching to get out of the theater. Why? The songs – the main element of the show – wore out their welcome almost immediately. There were some good riffs, but the lyrics were clunky, one-note, and sorely unsophisticated. Even the written dialogue was mostly juvenile and simply not funny. And with no individual sketches to ... full review

A hilarious rundown of three decades of popular music. It was so much fun to see how the cast and band would tackle styles like chick folk, arena rock, hip hop girl groups, and alternative angry women from the '90s. Also lots of funny random stuff like a lounge singer and a weirdo European collective. All put together by a fictional record producer who's like a mashup of Clive Davis and Donald Trump. The funniest hour of your week. See it!... full review

This is my 3rd time seeing a Lost Moon Radio Show. I appreciate how ORIGINAL each show is. How they take The time to always craft brand new brilliance. For this show, the way the different musical genres were incorporated into this dead dude's tribute gave us a chance to see them do what they do best. AWESOME singing and written lyrics. Unexpected callbacks and hilarious characters w unique personas. They just make me wanna quit my jobless job and join the circus! Or them! -rasika mathur... full review

Such fun! Clever songs performed by a talented cast, all beautifully tied together by a hilariously confused January Schonfeld, with a sweet/awesome ending. Go see!!... full review
