Digging into a character's discomfort alone in front of an audience is not an easy thing to do--and even harder to make funny--but Cunningham takes us along for the ride and it pays off. Her Poofy du Vey is indeed funny, but also vulnerable, frightened, and deeply human. There are big moments in "Burden of Poof", but it's the smallest ones that are perhaps the most touching. By the end of the show, as Poofy struggles for a modest victory against herself, you can't help but root for her to win. I had a wonderful time!... full review

Courtney Cunningham is a master! What a delightful, hilarious, energetic, and poignant show. I thoroughly enjoyed every second. Poofy is a charming clown with a huge heart and Courtney is an extremely talented theater-maker. A must-see show!... full review

Courtney is amazing! From the moment we sat down we were taken in with Poofy. There was a startling power of stillness at moments and then all of a sudden a grand physical explosion would occur. She has the great ability to draw in her audience into her world. She is a fantastic clown & quite original & unexpected. GO see Poofy and her vulnerable self bring you out of yourself and into her world. ... full review

Poofy is adorable and Irresistible! Courtney creates a world that is honest and pure from a woman's unfiltered subconscious in a completely vulnerable and non-apologetic ! Her moments of connecting with the audience are not only flirtatiously innocent but even erotic in a Saturn return kinda way! This show was full of love and obviously very well crafted. Very inspiring.... full review
