I am extremely impressed with the way that Sandy played the multiple characters in this biographical tail about a Russian family going through the struggles of being new immigrants in a seemingly new world. Being an American-Russian, I could relate to virtually all of the stereotypes that were communicated and felt the pain of the various characters too. This show does an amazing job of conveying to the audience the typical struggles and sacrifices that Russian immigrants go through and I personally believe that this is truly a beautiful story worthy of being seen. Thank you for the amazing job you did, Sandy!... full review

Lost in Lvov was nothing like I'd ever seen. Entertaining, touching, and yet with a message that takes us into the world of Russian girls of different generations. It was amazing to watch Sandy portray the roles of the mother and daughter seamlessly and show us what it took to be a woman of that time. She knew how to engage the audience and transport us to the time and place she was in, and it was a wonderful journey. I wish her all the best. N, looking forward to seeing more from her, and her wonderful team that made this happen. ... full review

Sandy is warm, funny and yes cute! She interacts easily with the audience engaging everyone from the beginning to the end of the show. The live musicians transport you out of the theater and help paint the scene, the emotions and compliment the performance magically, highly recommended! ... full review

Last Sunday me and my friend John went to see the play. Mostly I went to see the play to support my friend Lena who produced it. But the whole experience turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! The lead actress who also wrote the play based on her own experience as a first generation Russian American did such a good job. It was a sincere attempt to understand her own roots and find her own place in this world. She was relatable, funny, ironic, sad and smart. I hope to see more plays written by her and produced by Lena.... full review

Original and creative. The representation of multiple characters by one actress provides for layered context. On the surface the show offers fresh perspective on the challenges unique to unmarried, female, Russian Jewish immigrants from various generations. Abstractly its style pushes a thematic universal common denominator - singleness is a problem to be solved - thus the show transcends its cultural and female oriented construct... Very well done.... full review

I really enjoyed "Lost in Lvov." Sandy Simona is an engaging and sparkling actress, and her ability to switch between characters and embody both the immigrant and first generation American experience was fascinating and beautiful. I was entertained and at the same time deeply moved by her play. It was a one-person show, but her use of props, music, language, and dancing made it feel very full of life and layers. Highly recommend and look forward to seeing more of Sandy's work in the future. ... full review
