...Why is "Feast" important?
May 06, 2014In our patriarchal society, men dominate and women often go unseen and unheard. American history is filled with inequality which still pervades to this day. Women are paid less than men; men many times are given a position in which a woman is better qualified. In TV and film, and on stage, men are given more air time and are often the lead.
At its core, Feast is a political piece poking fun at the backwards social norms we practice to this day. The cast features four female roles out of six total characters, two of which are leads. The message is female-empowering with equality, kindness and justice for all disguised as a hilariously gruesome horror-comedy.
Feast creates an opportunity for women to truly shine in a world where men have been privileged for so many years.
Feast, a play about respecting your elders, fatherly duties, motherly love, food and family.

Feast - The world premiere event of 2014
April 01, 2014Will leave you sore, shocked, and starving for more.
Upcoming playwright Dylan-Mark Wallace presents a play unlike any other where good manners are of the upmost importance yet cruel intentions fill every word. Wallace’s clever writing will have you laughing where you should be mortified, cheering where you should be aghast; when you think it’s over, it’s only just begun. An exposé on the human condition through the food we eat and the families we call home.
Feast defines the horror-comedy genre and will have audiences talking for days.
