A beautiful story of admiration and inspiration, told through the eyes of a child. The boy's fascination with his uncle is something a lot of us have felt for our relatives and role models, but perhaps haven't put into words- something this show has done so well! It was a treat to go back in time with the show's multi-media visuals and music. A one man show, Mike Rad's performance was truthful and moving. Not to mention the many hats Rad also wore as writer and producer! I highly recommend you see this delightful piece of art. ... full review

Fantastic display and articulation of a inspired child. Mike Rad's stroll down memory lane did not just show the me what he saw, heard and admired as a young man looking up to his great uncle, it was also a fascinating lesson in history of commerce and blue collar union life and the vital vein around and of the great city of New York post World War Two! Captivating story teller, Mike Rad along with director David Robinson deserve a 5 star applause. A wonderful evening and recommended without reservation. Bobby Houser... full review

This is no one man show ramblings of the difficulties of coming of age - Mike Rad delivers a raw, heart felt, INTERESTING, view of growing up under the gaze of his adoring uncle, a hard lived - no bullshit but beloved tug boat captain of the New York Waterways. The family's immigrant Croatian culture of singing, cooking and story telling is the background for Rad's homage to his (still today), knight in shining armor. You'll leave the theatre with a fondness for not only the galvanic Mike Rad but also for his incomparable Uncle Jimmy.... full review
