My overall impression
When I first heard about Message from a Dying Soldier I was expecting a darkly dramatic war piece and was concerned it wouldn’t be a show for me. I came out mostly to support Brian Allman, who I’ve seen in several other local productions and always enjoy. And I’m so glad I did! Allman puts on a variety act performance with non stop entertainment and thought provoking material. He creates a solid balance between serious political critique and comedic slapstick. His theatrical skills are put to the test as he plays multiple characters in a wide range of styles sure to entertain all who see it!
