If you want ninety minutes of sidesplitting shakespearean sendup, this is for you! The script is funny, loaded with more puns and wordplay than an evening with CarrotTop and George Carlin; the cast has more chops than a pork parade on St. Porky's Day, plus comedy eye gouging. Did I say comedy eye gouging ? Yes I did!! If you let yourself go and roll with this show (as the entire audience did the night I went) you'll start laughing and honestly, won't let up until your spleen bursts. I am a veteran of many great comedy ventures in the Granddaddy of all fringe festivals, Edinburgh: this work equals the best I have seen. Sure, it's fast, rough and loaded with fluids, but what good time in a dark room isn't?... full review

What a wonderful group of highly talented actors. Very funny, broad mash up of Shakespeare's best. Hair-raising costume changes enabling everyone to play several characters, to the iambic pentameter-ed hilt! Loved the hilarious direction and the very silly props and sound effects. Great fun! The Flynnsmen present a spirited, galloping romp through Tom Willmorth's good-natured send-up of Shakespeare's canon, with all the zeal and unbridled delight of kindergarten class let loose in a candy shop. Highlights include Belene Green's ball-crushing dominatrix MacBetty, Drew Doyle's sardonically professorial Chorus, Buck Zachary's endearingly Uncle Fester-like Gloucester, Patrick Wenk-Wolff's snarling, hapless Phycus, Abby Wilde's lisping soothsayer and vivacious Juliet, and Jason Thomas' manic, tortured Prince of Denmark. John Apicella's crisp direction and Deirdre Murphy's razor-sharp stage managing keep the show rolling along, with pauses taken only for the sudden bursts of laughter and applause emitting from the happy theatergoers.... full review

If you have any love for the bard, or even if you don't, do not miss this production. The cast is amazing with some of the fastest quick changes I've ever seen, hilarious twists on well known characters, and unbelievably clever writing that mixes the absurd with the revered. I laughed so much I was only able to get to my car and get home! The Spolin Players heartily endorse King Phycus and all it's characters and wonderfully funny bits. Don't miss this one!... full review

A fabulously funny evening of theater! The actors do a marvelous job of becoming many, many different hilarious characters, zipping through lightning fast costume changes and drawing from a huge palette of comedic accents and voice impediments. So much comedic talent on one stage is a delight NOT TO BE MISSED. Whether you are a Shakespeare devotee- or not, you will be laughing very, very, hard. Do come! Then get all your friends and come again!!... full review
