I was part of an audience of diverse ages for "I Am Google". Improv is not an easy act to pull off, especially when the subject matter doesn't deal with the latest scandal or nitwit personality, but with a technology. Craig Shaynak succeeds by "humanizing" the technology in a way that was funny and entertaining for the diverse audience. I would definitely recommend this show for an hour of fun. ... full review

Went with my mom, who's 77, and we both giggled through out. There were also kids as young as 8 there, who were chiming in with suggestions and splitting up at some jokes that my mother might have missed. Over all a funny hour on topical issues that's good for all ages.... full review

We were a multi-generational family from 11-73 years old and all loved it. The way he interacted with the audience, remembering our names and even pulling in info about us without missing a beat. I appreciate theater that is tasteful and can reach both my kids, myself, and my parents. I Am Google did just that. ... full review

"I Am Google" was my first Fringe show ever! I was intrigued. Our audience of all ages laughed, learned, and were engaged with Craig Shanak's witty intelligent comedy. As a regular theater from Chicago, I give this show a thumbs up! Highly recommend this experience. Gretchen Johnson... full review

It's always risky when a performer must rely on a responsive (and full) audience to have a great show, and it's always risky to put on a show where each audience member's experience is shaped by those other audience members around them. Unfortunately, Craig Shaynak's 2011 and 2012 Fringe Hit "I Am Google" does exactly that. Now, please don't get me wrong - there are parts of this show I did enjoy - such as Shaynak's many voices and a section of the show where he acted out something you can find on Amazon.com (a bald horse) - but over all the comedy just isn't all the funny and feels, more often than not, a little forced. Jokes get reused, apologies for not being funny enough get made, and what is ultimately a great concept for a one man... full review

It was great, and it's especially appropriate if you're familiar with the services (e.g., Gmail, Twitter, etc.) Craig makes fun of. Overall it was very enjoyable and he's very good at adapting his show to that day's audience (when we went, nobody had iPhones -- we were and Android crowd -- and he seamlessly adapted to that as well as the fact none of us used Twitter (it was a strange audience).... full review
