This show is phenomenal! other than a few moments when the actors were in there heads, which I might add was once at most but opening I dont blame them at all!!! I really enjoyed the dramatic difference you can see between the young and the old selves. the messages of love that the two characters have for each other as well as the bond they still share despite it all in the end was touching. nearly cried when the young selves met the old! and the chemistry between these actors omg it was great! i enjoyed every second. all in all I have not one complaint! I can tell the director took his time with this piece and really helped lead the actors and I can tell that the actors really took their time to understand the characters I re... full review

The wit and frayed connections that run through Harry and Sam are the things that make it most successful. It's a play that's light on plot, which I always consider to be a good thing; the less to hide behind when telling a story about people's lives. The direct appeal in watching the story unfurl is to understand how their seemingly meaningless conversations are instead masking a deep pain and betrayal; moments seemingly tossed aside are instead building an infrastructure that ultimately bridges the characters over many years. The acting here is serviceable, with the exception of Jeff Gilbank who has developed into a very charismatic, warm and appealing actor. There are times when the rapid fire dialogue gets lost in the break-neck speed of... full review

I couldn't see what was written on the stage, I couldn't see what Jeff was doing since I was sitting on the steps, I couldn't always tell what their pantomiming indicated, but none of that mattered to me. The actors definitely did their research and had chemistry with the story and each other! Their back and forth dialogue was well-crafted and relatable and there was always a story behind the words in their eyes. In regards to their movements, yes it was very precise and purposeful, but I would say that a few times it felt deliberate (pacing back and forth, transitioning sometimes). I thought the story leading up to the end of their friendship and future selves was very gradual and not forced; the future Harry and Sam, I felt, had a gentle y... full review

What was beautiful about this show was the exploration of the unique and resilient relationship between Harry and Sam. The rhythm of the relationship was so specifically used that it not only led to the humorous and quirky moments that these two friends share but the slowing down of the dialogue was charged with deep seeded issues that were not completely being confronted by the characters until their relationship unraveled towards the end. It was so enjoyable to see these two guys tackling certain philosophical issues in very funny and charming ways but I could feel that they were both skating on the surface of a deeper loneliness and seeing them deal with it and try to open up to each other about it was so engaging. I have experienced that... full review

The acting was all right. It got saved by a script that was solid. The conversations of two men, often getting into hypotheticals, seems like it wouldn't make for a watchable show, but it definitely does. I would say definitely check it out. If, for nothing else, the great dialogue the script creates. However, the acting left something to be desired. It felt more like two guys saying lines than two characters conversing.... full review

Very thought provoking. I loved the technique of having the older characters write words on the chalkboard before each "dialogue". It made me very curious as to what would happen next. The play also stayed with me afterwards, which doesn't always happen. I would definitely recommend The Harry and Sam Dialogues.... full review

All I can really say about this show is that it was beautifully done! You can see the hard work and dedication the actors and the rest of the crew put into this show. The relationships between Harry and Sam throughout the show developed stronger and stronger even when their friendship was coming to an end. Full of witty jokes and bonding between two friends. Great job to everyone in the production of Harry and Sam Dialogues!... full review

There is a great spirit to this piece. Being in the space with these actors there is an excitement in the air before the show even starts. There are so great and surprisingly touching moments, and a lot of fun to be had with the intimate conversational dialogue between these two friends. Although deceivingly light at first, there's a lot more to this play than you could pick up on at first glance.... full review
