It’s 1543. A Portuguese ship sets sail with goods from Japan. Kira, a Japanese girl, is isolated on the ship and discovered by the naive Portuguese, Maria. A complicated historial feud is distilled through the two young girls. Can we find a sense of home within the people we’re trained to oppose?
